The morphology of a topaz.

Topazes are a class of soldier gems that, while not as large as as quartzes, are still strong enough for them to be considered "bruisers". They are generally about as tall as a pearl, if not slightly taller. Topazes almost completely lack feminine features, and possess large barrel-shaped bodies with short, stumpy legs. Their other physical features are more like those of heavy-bodied hooved mammals; Their teeth are nothing more than long, hippo-like tusks that just barely fit within the mouth, and their nails are very thick like those of ungulates. Their ears are also less developed than those of a quartz, and are more or less simple earholes.
